Dubliners' Cafe & Pub Shinagawa in Minato

I’ve been going to this pub since the early 1990s when it was a bit more divey (and scary at times) when it was called Ace Box Bar. The old sign is still there but inside now. The place has gotten better and better since becoming The Dubliner. Since acquiring the diner next door, the bar now has full menu and good food, always good drinks and the Irish music is better than ever too. Highly recommended for a Nuevo-dive bar with a real-dive bar history.

Good food, great atmosphere, live music and trivia night.

Good dive bar, now with added food selection and cafe next door. Darts and free popcorn. 20+ tap selections. Vikes games on projector on Sundays, other than that don't usually have TV's on. I love this pub.

Bathroom has cool urinal. They have good patio. Bartender people are nice. There is a rug you can trip on. Watch out!

Great place for brunch. Food is delicious, staff is friendly. Casual atmosphere. Will definitely return.

I visit this marvelous restaurant often because I enjoy the ambiance that is characterizes this place. The staff is highly welcoming and experienced. The service is awfully rapid. Needless to say, the food they prepare is outstanding. I have been there many times and I was always satisfied. The pay is decent. I highly suggest this restaurant to to all.

Great almost secret serious Blues joint like a Chicago club also Thursdays, Sundays 5-7pm great Blues/Roots/Soul combos- killer venue- check the calendar

Friendly " neighbors bar". Food good. Stick to your basic simple cocktails and Irish beer and you can have a good easy going night, if they are busy, leave. Slow night I was in, yet seemed as though night was not smooth or easy for the workers. Very friendly staff. They have some kinks to work out.

Great Bloody Mary. Nice bartenders and free popcorn! Good spot to host a large group for after work connection.

Outstanding place to eat wonderful Irish food. Beer selection was very nice. Wasn't there very long for work reasons. I am looking forward to going back and enjoying the great food, drink and atmosphere. Highly recommend. There also was live music.

Larger than it looks from the outside. There was live music in the main room; my group (a birthday party) was in the equally large side room.Lots of fried bar food. Great beer selection. Had a Black and Tan, both beers on tap among a ton of liquors.Bit of a dive, but comfortable neighborhood bar. Has a ton of character. Very friendly staff.

Good reasonably priced drinks. Has a good atmosphere, clearly been around a while but isnt shoddy. Keeps ambient sounds relatively low for a bar--i can actually talk here even when full.there are also a lot of great events, and when i was part of a poetry reading here, the staff were very helpful

Very cool place, authentic Minnesota-Irish pub. Great selection of fresh taps and expanded full sit-down grill menu. Inviting atmosphere and a new event hall attached. Whenever I'm in St. Paul, this is the place to rendezvous.

Live music, hardwood floors, old neon, good beer and good whiskey. Excellent Irish pub. They added a cafe and have Heggies after hours. Staff is consistent and doesn't take guff, which is a plus.

Bree, the day bartender is super friendly and I look forward to seeing her when I come in for lunch!

Cozy and family friendly pub with a great beer selection and nice whiskeys. What I wasn’t expecting was the great food. The steak salad was fresh and very delicious. Irish stew and wings were also really good.

Classic bar! And not just a classic Irish bar. It's classic in all ways! Nothing tricked up or phony about this place. Nice looking wooden bar with maybe 20+ seats at the bar that runs the length of the room. Lots of tables and a nice little stage for live music. Lots of great beer selections and a good menu.

Live music is a plus. Large amount of beer on tap. Service can be hit and miss. They refused to accept a Groupon once, which I thought was poor form given the Groupon had no restrictions on its use there. They bought out the Cafe next door (see picture showing the booths). Despite this, food (other than free popcorn), was not offered.

This is a great pub with a slightly dive-y feel. They frequently have live music at night, and sometimes trivia. Check their website, as it's updated often. I've liked both burgers I've had, and they have a nice beer and whiskey selection.

Bartenders were night and day. One was kind and gregarious and the other a complete jerk that tried to pressure us to buy booze multiple times, including "Really? This is a bar. You don't want something from the bar?" in response to my asking for a soda water.On the otherhand, the food was good, though they didn't have several items that were on the menu.

What do you say about an old landmark that has an up close view of a busy intersection on University Ave, that trucks klip the stop light pole three feet from the building, frequently. The food is first rate pub stuff, with tap beer choices to wash it down with for any fare! This place seems like someone don't want anyone to notice the place that practicly leans out onto University Ave.

They offer a large variety of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. Staff members are always super friendly, pricing is affordable and the spot is always well organised.

SUPER LEGIT. This spot hits you with a fabulous and delicious beer selection. Local performers frame a beautiful picture on the weekends. This is the kind of bar you bring your kids to without the guilt of "f#$k I just brought my kids to a bar." Get here and try it out!

Very elegant and welcoming spot. They offer generous meals and for inexpensive prices. We liked the meals a lot and the staff members were super amiable and informative. Will definitely recommend this spot.

Pretty stellar fish and chips. I'd order that if you are hungry and want a plate of filling food.The bar is clean, and a good choice of taps. I can't speak for the night crowd, but it's very chill during the early lunch time.

The spot is amazing and roomy, the meals was yummy and the prices were very reasonable. rapidly, productive service and very personal staff members. I recommend this place.

This pub has a super friendly neighborhood vibe. It now has a kitichen and the food is outstanding. There is something for everyone on the menu. The free popcorn is made fresh daily. They now have Heggies Pizza, a great value and very tasty. There is a large selection of local craft beers. There is great local Blues, Indy and folk music at 5-7 PM on Thursdays during their Acoustic Happy Hour and a Sunday music series that features some of Twin Cities finest musicians. The Pub is well known for having outstanding Irish music and dance as well. On Fridays there is a traditional Irish music session and lots of nights they have lively Irish music from 9-2AM.The place had a reputation for being a "dive" bar but with all the updates, clean restrooms and comfortable seating there isn't anything "dive-like about the place.

Great touch of Ireland in our city! The bag pipes played before they loaded up on a bus too!!
